My Environmental Objectives: to reduce waste as much as possible and to make sure I give more than I take

Things I would like to change: the demolition of perfectly good homes in favour of cheaply built modern houses built on greenspaces.

There's a 'mother's demonstration' going on on May 20th outside the House of Commons from 6pm 'til midnight.
"What will we tell our children when they ask us what we did when the scale of the problem facing the world became apparent? The 20th May is our opportunity to stand up and be counted. Please join us. Bring children if you have them. Come for as much or as little time as you have. If you can, bring a candle and a green awareness ribbon to show you want climate action now."

I've put up today's Independent article- 'Boycott of battery chickens forces supermarkets to think ethically', by Martin Hickman, great piece. Glad to know campaigns have impacted finally on sales of grotesquely cheap chickens. Have a read - good to have your support on Battery Hens campaign. Giles
