We are a volunteer environmental group in Dunipace, Denny & District, Central Scotland. We run community litter clean ups, fly tip clean ups in the River Carron, mural creations, education work on environmental issues for children, an annual community calendar, collaborations with local heritage groups, we are the originators of the UK's growing Green Dog Walkers campaign, and we have a newsletter, New Leaf News Scotland.

Hi, The Camden Green Fair provides a fantastic platform for g…
Our FREE quarterly environmental newsletter is now out - it has expanded from a wee two-page supplement since June 08 to a full-fledged 12-page newsletter as of March 09. Contact us at communitygreeninitiative@yahoo.co.uk to receive an email attached version of this newsletter; then let us know if you like it and want a free subscription!
NEW LEAF NEWS is full of green news and announcements for a regenerating area (post-industrial) of Scotland, but we welcome UK and international green news, writers, photographers, artists to submit material (no payment but lots of glory and exposure for your work!). We seek to publish upbeat, positive, encouraging news, green campaign success stories, biodiversity stewardship stories, some local history and natural heritage tales, etc.
We are funded by Falkirk Environment Trust, our staff is 100% volunteer, we do some advertising in order to help pay for production of the b&w printed version. We will have an online version soon, via the Community Green Initiative website which is currently being developed.

Community Green Initiative has received funding from CVS Falkirk for its website which is currently under construction. We expect to be up and running by the end of July.
Recently the Greenvoice team visited Falkirk, Scotland and we met face to face! What a brilliant group, we were very honoured and inspired to meet them all.
Cheers,
Michelle McCallum, CGI/New Leaf News Editor
