Secret Garden Party
Hurrah for summer festival culture! Another party beckons. This time it's the Secret Garden Party, and it's actually likely to be MORE fun than was expected at Wild in the Country! (the organisational disaster that it was!) So, let me re-phrase my earlier question; Can you say "Absentee Alex Metric Alexander Wolfe Ali B Alphabeat Alton Ellis Anya Marina Alex Waez Atomic Hooligan Asteriods Galaxy Tour Autokratz Bad Science Back to Basics Baxter Dury Beans on Toast Ben Bridgewater Beep Seals Big Hand Bonde Do Role " Woah, have a breather. We'll be there with a big fun-time-random Greenvoice activity, we'll be showing films, and in the Greenvoice tent, everyone and anyone is invited to sit and join us for some inspiring talks by some inspiring people. Dates are July 24-27. So guys, drop me a reply or a shout and let me know what dates you're available. That is all.Created 6 months ago by Hazel Cullen

Garden Party Details....
Ok Guys, here's the story; The festival starts on Thursday July 24th, 'til Sunday 27th. It's in Huntington, near Cambridge. As far as travel to and from goes, you guys tell me your needs, and I'll sort you out. This clearly needs to be done asap by EVERYONE otherwise I won't be in a position to organise properly...you understand. At the festival, we will be the proud occupants of a 20x40 foot Moroccan tent. I'll put a photo of it in the photo's section. Our tent will host talks and workshops during the 4 days, show films, and hopefully sell a little Organic beer and cider at cost price too (providing the organisers are ok with that). I do suggest, however, that we volunteers should stock up for some personal, em, refreshment. (details to be discussed in person..) We'll also have some game-type things - THIS IS WHERE YOU GUYS ARE VERRRRY IMPORTANT! Throwing coconuts at Bush, that kind of thing, and I'll need someone to act as camera person for me from time to time (perhaps this can be shared?) A far as sleeping arrangements go, we have a 10man tent, and a massive Moroccan tent. Please, everyone, REMEMBER to bring a sleeping bag/duvet! If you want to bring you own tent, absolutely feel free but please do let me know so I can ensure it'll be accommodated space-wise. We will be provided with crew passes on arrival. If you are not coming down on the first day, you'll be picked up from the station or wherever and sorted out accordingly. All food will be paid for, so don't worry about packing mingin' Pot-Noodles. For further questions, mail me at hazel@greenvoice.com "That's the hit of the whole juice right there."Created 5 months ago by Hazel Cullen

End of the Road
"End of the Road Festival in North Dorset 12 – 14 September. No GV tent, bring your/our own – however, free tickets and food/beer budget together with Serious Party. We will host some green movies and workshops, but main focus on getting people to sign petition. http://www.endoftheroadfestival.com/" `comments? Spaces limited for this one as there's more party less work...Created 4 months ago by Hazel Cullen

A Chance to visit Oxford
Hey Guys, So, Greenvoice have been visiting freshers fairs around the country over the past few weeks. But... the only one that I give half a rat's @ss about right now is Oxford - simply because that's the next one I'M going to! So, what I need is another companion. The lovely Elma is already joining me to grace this fine university with our fione presence, but we need one more. The plan is this - we leave at whatever casual time suits us all on Tuesday Oct 7th, we stay in a B&B or something, we head to the uni in the morning and spend the day letting freshers know about the packaging campaign petition, we have dinner, we have drinks, maybe we dance, or sing, or both at the same time, and then we do the same all over again until friday - when we will head for home. Essentially this is an all expenses paid trip to Oxford for sightseeing, partying, and getting involved in the work of this inspiring environmental website. Who's game?
