Festivals 2009

  • So, below are the festivals we are currently booked into.
You'll see that each one has all the details there: location, date and duration, bands etc. For each event we need between 3 and 5 volunteers, which means there are not many places so get on the band wagon quick!

Greenvoice will be showing films and giving talks/workshops on various issues at the festivals this year, so if you have something to offer do let me know and perhaps we can throw something together for the festival goers.

Volunteer work this year includes chatting to people about campaign ideas, answering questions about Greenvoice, and helping to facilitate workshops etc. Anyone who's new to volunteering with us will get a short training session before their first festival, so don't worry if you feel you might not be 'in the know' enough.

So, have a look, follow the links for a better idea, and get in touch asap to confirm your space/s at what are very likely to be some amazing times this summer.

    Bring it!

    MORE TO COME

  • thanks Hazel

  • will probably join you for the outsider. I'd be interested getting together a Greenvoice team for the rothie relay or I'll happily run the outrunner in the colours of Greenvoice.

Just saw the van aswell, Class! You should see the lads UNTZ! van, it's pretty savage. Got some guy up in Dublin to do it aswell.

  • BUMMER!

    "OUTSIDER FESTIVAL CANCELLED

It is with great regret that we make this announcement that the Outsider
Festival which was due to take place in Rothiemurchus, Aviemore on
Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 June 2009 has been cancelled.

Due to the current economic climate and the projected numbers attending,
we could not produce an event which would provide a festival experience
to the level that our audience expects and deserves. Likewise, as a
preferred charity for the event we would not be fulfilling our
responsibility as event producers, if we were to invite you to an event
where we thought you were at risk of loss through lower attendance.

I'm sure this news will come as a great disappointment to you, as it is
to us, but we are very grateful for the support the event has been shown
    by so many people.

We hope you have a good summer and wish you all the best in your future
    ventures.

    Regards,

    Alan"

  • Worry not! the Outsider may be cancelled but the Big Tent is not...www.bigtentfestival.co.uk

The Big Tent is the Real McCoy, Scotland's largest eco-festival, now in its fourth year and would love some Greenvoicers to come along. We are at the end of July in Falkland, Fife, we have camping for about 2000 and our unique One Planet Food Village serves only local and organic grub. A great line up of bands will be playing foly-worldy stuff and there's loads to do...

  • Well hello Mike!

As it happens, we don't have anything booked for that weekend! Drop me an email at hazel@greenvoice.com!
