What is Greener Food?

  • Greener Food is a free service offering support to restaurants and other catering businesses interested in going green. The project offers food businesses in London an environmental audit focussing on one of three areas:

    * Conserving energy and water
    * Minimising waste and increasing recycling
    * Identifying more sustainable food sources

    After the audit, the business gets an action plan setting out what changes they could make to become more sustainable. As well as getting detailed, tailor-made support in its chosen area, the business receives some general advice in the other two areas.

    Greener Food is funded by the London Development Agency, and co-ordinated by London Sustainability Exchange.
