Hydrogen as a fuel is clean safe and widely available. It is the most abundant substance in the Universe. Hydrogen is two thirds of water, and running an electric current through water splits it into hydrogen and oxygen. Honda are already producing a hydrogen fuel cell car for the Californian market and the Mayor of London hopes to have a fleet of hydrogen fuelled taxis ready for the 2012 Olympics.
