Food waste

  • Todays news on BBC and the Independent's "Throwaway Britian" says that in the UK alone £10 billion in food is wasted a year - e.g. 1.6m in bananas.

It would be interesting to add to the debate how much the supermarkets waste in grade B veggi's. Does anyone know this number?
