About 'Energy efficiency - Let's stop heating the world'

Homes in the UK and beyond are highly inefficient and leaking heat. Households account for 30% of all carbon emissions in the UK. As well as the negative impact this inefficiency is having on the environment, we are heating the world at massive costs.

How you can help

The government has made targets to cut carbon emissions by 80% by 2050. Energy efficiency is a “no brainer” for both you and the government. Energy bills will be reduced and there will be significant savings in carbon emissions.

Grants and incentives exist but not everyone is eligible. What we need is a “street by street” approach. The government needs target area by area and provide cheap (free) insulation to all. It's a win-win situation for energy use and climate change. A third win exists where thousands of jobs will be created in a much-needed time of recession.

Follow the link below and sign this petition. It is a campaign led by Kevin McCloud and Grand Design calling on government to offer new ways to pay for green refurbishment of their homes, and creating thousands of jobs to boot.
