Easy, it makes the environment look tidy and attractive, hopefully it might ebncourage one or two other to do the same, and they then encourage one or two others...a lot of people will be keeping our streets and footpaths and outside spaces tidy and looking good.

It's a great idea, the more we just DO IT the better it will get! This reminds me of a campaign in America called Adopt a Neighbour...where you pick your neighbour's litter out of their garden (stuff that blows around) while you do yours...hopefully taken as a friendly gesture! Anyway, we all need to just DO IT! Cheers, Michelle
