About 'The Tissue Issue!'

People need to be aware that something that may be perceived as "petty" such as tissue paper can be just as environmentally hazardous as other pollutants.. especially where SO MUCH waste (and toxins) is involved. NEVER TAKE OR USE MORE THAN YOU NEED..!! ..in public toilets, workplaces, maintenance shops, cafes..& remember to DISPOSE IT PROPERLY.

How you can help

A lot of us do this without realizing what damages we’re causing. In public restaurants or fast food joints like McD where stacks of tissues are laid out in the open and made easily accessible, it tempts us to grab more than we actually need because its so EASY to just use and toss aside PLUS its just not something people think about as being a misuse of consumption. They don't understand this is an indirect and inefficient use of valuable natural resources.

This is a calling for 3 things. First, to decrease tissue paper waste by raising awareness of the dangers of high and unnecessary consumption. Secondly, the need for biodegradable tissue paper. Thirdly, for non-colored/unbleached tissue/paper towels as this will be less toxic for the environment. Hopefully not only will this help people think twice before wasting but also to encourage them to buy tissue paper products that are without chlorine or chlorine compounds (ie bleach) and other "unfriendly" chemicals which can also help reduce pollution.
