About 'Storm in a Teacup'

To create a large storm of female opinion on climate change and organise a UK-wide series of meetings and events - in the form of tea parties - which will enable women to raise government awareness of women's concerns about climate change and demonstrate women's importance as 'change agents'.

How you can help

The project is a true grassroots campaign. Following on from the launch of the Women's Manifesto on Climate Change in May 07, it will empower women to take direct action on climate change and get together with like-minded women to make a real difference and feel part of a county-wide network. WEN currently has a network of over 40 active local groups across the UK. By becoming a member of WEN and joining a local group you can take action on climate change and make your voice heard (to become a member go to www.wen.org.uk/general_pages/support.htm.)

It is time for Government to realise the crucial role that women can play in tacklig climate change as educators, consumers and change-agents in the home.
